Here you will find all the latest news regarding this year's event, so check back often as we will update rules, sponsors and the activities, which will be taking place.
Attention racers! The entry lotto winners are now up. Check the confirmed Reedy Entry section of this page and make sure we have the correct racer information.
Important Tamiya Saturday track practice announcement! If you are entered into the Reedy Race whether you're in Open or Invite, the Tamiya Track is now closed to all participants. In an effort to make this event as fair as possible no advance track practice will be allowed including Tamiya TRF drivers. The track will only be open to our regular Tamiya customers (The ones that are not entered in the Reedy Race) that wish to drive their cars on our facility. The track layout will also be configured so as not to be the traditional Reedy wide open layout to prevent those of you who think will sneak in a run or two. This will be in effect immediately.
The entries will be handled in the same manner this year as the last few years due to the high volume of participants wanting to attend and to make it fair for racers around the country. The lottery system will be used to determine which racers will be entered into the event.
How it works:
Racers wanting to participate will need to mail in their entry before April 7th 2006. Entries postmarked after this date will not be entered into the lottery.
(Do not wait till the last minute to send it in. If you are serious about being part of the event send in your entry ASAP)
Payment must be included with all entry forms. Entries received without payment will not be put into the lottery pool.
Make sure to send in your entry addressed to Tamiya America, Inc. 2 Orion, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656-4200
Attention Department Reedy.
Only one entry per person! Please only send one payment per entry. Do not send in one lump payment for multiple racers as this makes refunding or returning non-winning lotto winners a mess.
You may only choose one class. You may not choose two classes in the hopes that you will make one or the other.
Your racer information must be accurate. Name, address, class, frequencies, personal transponder number, phone number, T-shirt size and email address.
Once we have all entries submitted, each one will be assigned a number. This number will go into a lottery pool. Mike Reedy will draw the numbers. The winners names will be posted on this page and we will also contact them via email or phone. The drawing will be held on April 10, 2006. Check back on this date to see if you made it in. Note: Due to the high volume of entries we will post the winners shortly and hopefully by April 15th. We are allowing a few days for those last minute entries that were post marked by the 7th to arrive to us.
Racers not making the cut will be put into a waiting list, also determined by lottery. That list will also be posted on this site.
Entries are not transferable.
Entries are non-refundable after May 12th.
Important note:
For those racers that made the A Main in the Open Spec and Open Mod classes in 2005, they will receive an automatic spot for the 2006 event. These racers must send in their entry by April 7th 2006. If we do not have your entry by that date we will assume you are not participating. Make sure you get in your entry.
Drivers from other countries are guaranteed spots so make sure to get your entry ASAP!
Last year as promised the following 12 racers get an automatic spot into the 2006 Reedy Race. These 12 racers were kind enough to donate their time to help the race organizers get the facility cleaned up. We thank them very much for their help!
Jose Molina
Dillon White
Devon White
George Lin
Nathan Sipan
Timmy Valez
Max Valez
John Shopp
Kumpol Sriprapa

The above racers just need to send in their entry with payment. If for some reason you are not able to attend please let the race organizers know as soon as possible.
