Qualifying
All teams will qualify using the IFMAR start procedure.
10 cars will be on the track in each qualifying heat.
The length of each qualifier will be 15 minutes with one mandatory pit stop in which the battery must be changed. (This is done so that pit strategy and team efficiency is part of the teams qualifying time)
Qualifying will determine the starting grid, the choice of pit lane position, and driver stand location.
Main Event
The Tamiya Halloween 4 hour Enduro will have a 15 car "A" Main Final.
Rules
1. Any Tamiya 4WD sedan chassis may be entered.
2. Any Option parts by Tamiya or aftermarket companies are allowed.
3. Modifications such as lightening are allowed as long as the basic car and parts are not re-engineered.
4. Any sub "C", 7.2V, 6-cell NICD or NIMH 4300 mah or lower battery capacity battery pack may be used. "Lipo" batteries will also be allowed, but may not exceed 4800 mah capacity. LIPO batteries must be production batteries.
5. All batteries must have a plug of some kind. Any connector is legal and there should be at least 1 inch of wire between the battery and the plug.
6. All speed controls must have a connector attached to the power wires.
7. No custom quick release battery systems are allowed. All battery changes must involve the act of plugging and unplugging the battery from the speed control.
8. The entire stock battery hold down system MUST be used during qualifying and racing. CUSTOM, LOCKING OR MODIFIED BATTERY HOLD MECHANISMS ARE NOT ALLOWED. (This rule is now in effect in the spirit of keeping costs down and to put pit crews on a more even playing field)
9. Any Tamiya Sedan or Sports car series body may be used, except Subaru Legacy versions 1 and 2.
10. Any manufacture wheel, rubber tire and insert may be used.
11. Tire changes are legal.
12. The qualifying chassis and body are the ones that must be raced in the final.
13. The motor a team qualifies with must be the one the team must use to race with at the start of the 4 hour Enduro. (Motors will be checked prior to qualifying and racing)
14. All motors, Brushless or Brushed must be "production motors". No prototype or experimental technologies will be allowed.
15. If a team blows up a motor during the 3 hour endurance race that team may replace that motor.
16. Quick change motor mounts are not allowed.
17. Personal AMB transponders must be used.
18. Cooling fans are allowed on the chassis.
19. Cutting out the side windows or half of the front window of the body is allowed for cooling.
20. There are no limits to the number of drivers per team. Teams may have as many or as little as they need.
21. There are no limits to the number of stints a driver may drive. If a team thinks they have a driver that can "iron man" the whole event... God speed!
22. All teams must select a team leader/captain. Good luck to all teams!!!!!!!
Tamiya America uses R/C Scoring Pro for all its racing events and the use of a AMB personal transponder is required for the Enduro.
