Since the release of the Wild Willy 2, Fans have been modifying their Willy's in all imaginable ways. Since the Wild Willy 2 was designed with ease and fun in mind, there are plenty of ways you can get more fun out of a Wild Willy 2.

We will show you how to use other Tamiya R/C parts to widen the tread of the Wild Willy 2, and provide you with more running and Wheelie stability. It's time to let Wild Willy 2 stretch his legs!

Suspension

The front suspension can be changed with parts from the 1/10 R/C Baja Champ. Because the steering rod of WW2 will be too short, use double threaded shafts from the 3mm Shaft Set (Item 70105) of the Educational Construction Series.

Use the Double Threaded Shafts of the 3mm Shaft Set. Cut 8mm off each end of the shafts with Side Cutters or other metal cutting tool, and use file to smoothen ends.

The rear suspension can be changed as the front, by using parts from the 1/10 R/C Baja Champ. The drive shaft of the WW2 can be exchanged for that of the 1/10 R/C Wild Dagger. Also, for effective heat dissipation of the motor, an Aluminum Motor Heat Sink is recommended (Item 53399).

Dampers

To lengthen your dampers, exchange the C12 Friction Dampers of WW2 with C1 Parts of the Baja Champ.

Attach the tires and you're done! Your tread should now be 265mm, 65mm longer than on the standard kit!
