Tamiya Defends IFMAR ISTC World Championship!
On Saturday October 30th, Marc Rheinard from Germany defended Tamiya's crown over the IFMAR ISTC Touring Car World Championships in Kissimmee, Florida. Marc did this by winning two of the three "A" mains. He won the first and won the third. This was no easy task as it came to the final race of the triple main format. Marc chose the proven TRF 415 which earlier this year took the 2004 REEDY Invitational Touring Car title. That title was won by Surikarn Chaidisuriya. Surikarn was the current world title holder having won Tamiya's first ever international world championship driving the predecessor to the 415, the 414 in 2002. Now that Tamiya has defended its title it has proven that Tamiya produces the best touring cars on the market today. This year German driver Marc Rheinard, has proven that he is the best of the best and he has chosen a Tamiya 415 as his ride. Congratulations to Marc for a well deserved victory.
Stay tuned to this site as we will have pictures from the event as well as a inside story to how Marc Rheinard came from the Tamiya TCS races in his native land to now being a international world champion.
