Tamiya Drivers

The year was 1976 and it ended with Tamiya's first radio control car kit being released, the Porsche turbo RSR type 934 (Item #58001). The Porsche that not only started it all, but starting a trend that continues today with driver figures in the cockpit.

R/C fans have always tried to create unique vehicles to set themselves apart from other builders, vehicles equipped with drivers was just one more item that can be used to create that look they need. Through the years not all Tamiya vehicles have included driver figures, though users have purchased figures from one vehicle to add to another. A. Not only can you find some of these items in stores, but parts are available for most of them. Discontinued only means we currently do not stock them, they may be re-released at some point as well.

 

Q. Do I have to sift through all of them?

A. No you can login or create an account our site, and check the box on your account page to hide discontinued items. You can then uncheck it at any time to show discontinued items.

Q. What does Coming Soon mean?
A. These are new or re-release items that have been ordered and are in production and or in transit by boat to our warehouse.

Q. How do I know when these items will arrive?

Q. Can I see a list of "Coming Soon" Items?
