Presenting Tamiya’s first rally car on the TB-02 chassis, further adding to the growing TB-02
line-up. The always popular Subaru Impreza combined with the sensational new TB-02 is
going to be a new force on the race track.
For its third model based on the TB-02 chassis, Tamiya presents one of the most popular rally cars competing in the WRC Championship, the Subaru Impreza WRC 2003. Based on TB Evolution III, the TB-02 chassis employs a newly designed bathtub frame, CVA dampers, 4 independent double wishbone suspension, aluminum propeller shafts and ball differentials. Kit also includes reinforced medium narrow tires and 18-spoke medium narrow wheels.
About the Subaru Impreza WRC 2003
In addition to body shell alterations, Subaru’s machine for the 2003 WRC season features a
newly designed over-sized rear wing with four vertical fins for the realization of superb
aerodynamics. The 2003 machine also features internal modifications such as improvements
in engine and chassis durability to achieve an overall increase in performance over the previous
year’s machine. Subaru’s Peter Solberg has gained victories in Cyprus in round 7 and Australia
in round 10, placing Subaru third on the Manufacturers’ Championship.
