First released on the TB-02 chassis, Tamiya now releases the popular Team Vodafone AMGMercedes
on the easy to assemble TT-01 chassis. Not only easy to assemble, the TT-01 has
loads of separately available option parts allowing you to get the most out of your chassis.
About the Team Vodafone AMG-Mercedes
Having taken out the German DTM Drivers Championship in 2000 and 2001, the 2002 season
was relatively disappointing for Vodafone AMG-Mercedes driver Bernd Schneider, who missed
out on his third consecutive Drivers Championship by a mere 6 points. Striving to avenge the
2002 defeat, Schneider maintained a narrow lead throughout the majority of the 2003 season,
taking a one-point lead over Christijan Albers into the final race of the season. With Albers
suffering a puncture on the 27th lap, Schneider was able to take out the Championship, giving
Schneider his third Drivers Championship in 4 years and the Vodafone Mercedes connection
their second consecutive Team Championship.
