All of your
Winners!

The 13th annual TCS North American Finals has concluded and the series has
crowned 7 new champions. Three of these champions have earned a ticket to Japan
to compete at the Tamiya World Championships to be held in late November. These
lucky winners are Juan Aveytia, Tony Fiorella and Deven White. The 4 remaining
champions have earned bragging rights for the period of one year as well as some
cool prizes for their hard work. Congratulations to Jimmy Jacobson for defending
his TamTech Gear Off-road crown, David Jun for being the top TRF/Past Champion
and new Porsche/Ferrari Cup king and Sean Wu for driving brilliantly in the new
F103GT class.
The three trip winning classes this year were GT-1, GT-2 and Mini. The winners
had to beat the best drivers from the different regions around the country and
also the top winners from the Canadian TCS series. After four grueling rounds of
qualifying and some tense main events, the TCS North American Finals has come to
a conclusion at the current Tamiya America Race Track in Aliso Viejo,
California. The 13th season was a bittersweet one, as the current location will
be closing down in the coming months. It was good to see many of the racers that
have been involved in the series since the beginning make it out to California
for the last Finals to be held at the track were it all started. While the North
American finals will no longer take place at the Aliso Viejo facility, a new
beginning and tradition is already in the works for season 14! Look to the TCS
home page for announcements and details as they become available.
The Tamiya America staff would like to thank first and foremost all the
participants of the series. Without everyone's enthusiasm for the sport this
would be just another series. It's the passion for the product and the series as
a whole that makes it worthwhile for our staff at Tamiya America to continue to
put it on. Thanks to all the regional sites that hold a TCS Regional event. Your
continued support helps us keep the series going. Thanks to Novak Electronics for supplying dependable brushless sytems and motors for the Past Champions/ TRF throwdown and to Tony Tam for supplying the Much More tire sets. We would also like to thank
Doug Papka of Seattle Indoor Raceway for coming out this year and taking on the
announcing duties. Having Doug announce this year left yours truly to do other
things which included referee duties as well as making sure everyone was having
a good time. Doug's continued support of the series and his dedication to the
Tamiya brand are very much appreciated. His customers and crew also made a
special trip to California to be part of the last North American Finals at the
Aliso facility and we were glad to see them enjoy themselves. Thanks to all the
racers from all the regions that traveled many miles to be part of our happy
series. We hope you had fun!
We will see everyone again next year as the series will expand to some new
regions as well as return to the favorite locations. Enjoy the event photos from
this years event and we will see everyone at our new North American Finals home
next year...
