Subaru"s next machine to enter the World Rally Championships (WRC) was unveiled in October in Birmingham, England, at the British International Motor Show as the Subaru Impreza 2001 Prototype. Tamiya is proud to bring out the 2001 Prototype on the reliable TB-01 off-road Chassis (equipped with upper cover and cockpit).
The motor of this high performance R/C car is mounted longitudinally on the chassis, efficiently transmitting power to the shaft-driven 4WD system.
Sturdy four-wheel double wishbone suspension equipped with shock absorbing oil dampers. Block pattern semi-pneumatic rubber tires provide superb traction on light dirt surfaces.
Bathtub type main frame equipped with upper cover to protect moving parts from contact with debris. Aluminum heat sink also included for dissipation of heat from motor.
