The Tamiya Racing Factory has come up with a new variant of the TRF101. The "Wide-tread" Specification, designated as the TRF101W F1 chassis kit, is ideally suited for high speed racing circuits. The TRF101W benefits from the TRF team's wealth of racing experience and data. It retains many of the original basic features of the TRF101 chassis while adding a number of upgrades to transform the front suspension into a wide-tread unit to make the chassis suitable for "foam-tire" racing. Other tweaks include a 2.5mm thickness main chassis to make the car more adaptable to low grip surfaces as well as a change to the damper position to make initial dampening more effective.
Revamped front suspension arms: The redesigned carbon fiber upper arm piece is married with carbon fiber lower arms to bring the chassis excellent durability and enhance the unit's controllability. Both the front suspension mount and aluminum servo stay have also been redesigned for the TRF101W chassis.
Greater Flexibility: The thickness of the carbon fiber lower deck has been reduced to 2.5mm to provide greater chassis flexibility, which will provide enhanced stability on low-grip surfaces. Battery posts have been moved forward, transferring pitch loads closer to the front of the unit and boosting front traction.
Smoother, faster dampening: The newly-designed middle brace moves the pitch damper attachment position 2.5mm to the rear, leading to faster response and keeping the car close to the track surface. The roll damper employs a new piston with equal contraction and extension lengths for smoother performance.
Requires:2-channel radio, steering servo, ESC, motor, battery with compatible charger, F-1 body set, and foam racing tires with wheels.
