    Description

    In 1932, Rear Admiral Isorku Yamamoto initiated a reform program with the goal to arm the IJN with a world-class naval arm. The result of this project was the Mitsubishi G4M. While typical bombers only had bombs, the G4M was designed to carry both bombs and torpedoes in order to attack naval vessels as well as land-based targets. The Model 11 variant of the G4M was noted for having exceptional range and was able to make the 2852km trip from Kyushu to Taiwan and back without having to refuel.
