Description
2006 saw four manufacturers, BMW, Alfa Romeo, SEAT, and Chevrolet, compete for the World Touring Car Championships. With BMW having all but sown up the Manufacturer"s Championship in the second last round of the season, the final race brought close to an exciting finish to see which BMW team driver would claim the Drivers" Champion-ship. The season finished with BMW Team UK driver Andy Priaulx winning the championship by the slightest of margins, 1 point over BMW Team Germany driver Jorg Muller.
