Description
Tommi Makinen clinched the 1999 FIA World Rally Championship for an amazing fourth successive year, boasting the longest reign in the history of the WRC. His trusted car, the Lancer Evolution VI, is now available as an R/C assembly model kit from Tamiya.
The newly developed TB-01 Chassis features a shaft-driven, four-wheel drive system and lengthwise positioned motor. Low center of gravity is actualized by the flat placement of the R/C mechanics and running battery on the sturdy construction of the main and upper frames.
Independent double wishbone suspension ensures superb road holding and oil dampers provide shock absorption for total off-road performance. Finally, block pattern tires bite into dirt surfaces for sure-footed traction.
The Lancer VI will provide you with all the performance you could ask for on the street-but the fun doesn"t stop there. From the sealed gearbox cover to the block pattern tires, total consideration has been given creating the ultimate off-road racing machine. Sealed gearboxes over the differential gears and a transparent upper cover on the bathtub main frame both serve to protect the R/C mechanics from dust and debris.
